Bespoke tables and tops

We make tables and tops to order from oak we saw ourselves, from choosing the material to the finished piece of furniture.

The oak table in everyday use

A layer-glued top gives large surfaces without the wood cupping, and the rustic look comes from the material rather than the finishing: we leave the knots and the natural grain in place.

Size, shape and base are agreed for the specific room. Tell us what you are looking for and we will advise on the material and prepare a quote.

    Top from our own production

    We glue the top in layers from oak boards sawn at our mill. The laminations are selected so the grain and shade run evenly along the whole length.

    Rustic character

    We do not cut out the knots or the natural grain, because they are what gives the top its character. The surface is sanded and finished.

    Base and assembly

    The top goes onto a steel base: a cross leg for the table, black legs for the side tables. We make the wood ourselves and match the metal to the design.

    Finished set

    The table and two round side tables were made as one set from the same material, so grain and shade match.
