Board stacks on stickers in the warehouse

Birch is pale, almost white, with a fine and low-contrast figure. It gives a calm, uniform surface, so it works well in modern interiors and under light lacquers.

It needs careful drying, because without airflow it is prone to blue stain. We put it on stickers straight after sawing.

Questions about birch timber

Why does birch sometimes go blue?

Blue stain is a discolouring fungus that develops in damp wood without airflow. That is why we sticker birch right after sawing, before the material can heat up.
